Day 03 - Your Views On Drugs And Alcohol.
Alcohol, I may not like to drink it very much but everyone else is more than welcome to it whether I’m present or not. Growing up in Australia its almost like EVERYONE drinks so I’m pretty lenient with it. The only problem I have with drinking is the guys and girls who drink until they are blind drunk and completely embarrass themselves and/or hurt others. By all means drink but just because your intoxicated doesn’t mean that you are entitled to be an asshole. I especially hate those girls and guys who become way too open, as in they just turn in to skanks and sleep and make-out with whomever they want, those people lack self-respect. So basically drink responsibly is my view. Drink what you want when you want just don’t make a fool of yourself while doing it.
And so comes the touchy subject of drugs. All through school I skipped these workshops because they brought back terrible memories from when I was really little. I’m very anti-illicit-drugs. I say the illicit bit because frankly we all need medications at some point from a doctor and technically that is a drug so I’m not anti-prescribed-drugs. I don’t agree with those who abuse those drugs either, they are supposed to help not turn your life into a high 24/7 to the point where you can’t live without them! Anyways illicit drugs are bad. All of them. I don’t care if you do them, it’s entirely your choice what you do with your life and if you feel it necessary to turn to harmful drugs that can potentially destroy your life and appearance. The one thing I can’t stand is how easily it is for teenagers as young as 13 to get their hands on it. The people who actually sell to minors should feel ashamed. For all those out there who are thinking ‘hey they are just experimenting with them’ can line up for a firm and hard slap across the face because no matter the reason minors should not try them when their minds are still developing. I went to a school where a lot of my peers were high and off their face at school during school times at as early as 7.30am. Sure they may have it rough but you need to push through that shit and not ignore it by jamming needles in arms, snorting powders or smoking and all the other ways you can. And if you are a parent, for the love of all things good, keep it away from your children, they don’t need to see you shove syringes in your arms.
One drug I don’t actually have much of a problem with is cannabis. Weed. My only request is keep it away from me and don’t force it on me.
