Well, I really hope she hasn't read the 50 Shades trilogy... That's even worse than Twilight (although I dunno about the fandom, but yeah, the Twilight one is reeeeeeeeeeally bad!).
I'll have to remember that. I'll be watching for warning signs.. x3
Oh, by the way, terrific job on the latest "Against the Horizon"
Have you commissioned a piece of Alex yet? (since you have had some of the others done, I really liked the Thomas one.)
Nope! I'm trying to get Alex, Joss and Marnie done, but managing to get a spot in Kihu's sketch streams is a matter of sheer luck, so I have to keep trying until I get one again (but, well, I got six spots in a row in his streams so I certainly can't complain!).
Hehehehe. Well, every fandom has bad people in it, that's for sure. Some furries are indeed bad people, but I think the fandom mostly suffers of bad "advertising"... I usually keep my distance from bronies, and while I love Japanese animation I don't consider myself an otaku (since it's a term that has a negative connotation nowadays).
Are there some particular animes that you think attract more weeaboos/otakus than others, in your opinion?
well having encountered some of the weeaboos and Otaku myself, there seems to be a huge variety of what anime attracts them.
I met a group who basically think anything anime Japan beats anything else from any other media in the world, which is pretty darn silly and not true . Well anyway they were obsessing over this anime called Apocalypse Zero and saying how amazing it is and how it makes Disney look bad. Now Apocalypse Zero is one of the most repulsive anime/manga ever and is top on my list of most terrible media that humanity has made.....don't watch it please, you'll most likely vomit if you see it (then again these were vore fans also....ugh)
some otaku seem to also like heavily sexual stuff and seem to wish:
"God I wished I watched this when I was young, it would be so cool."
or who just love cute characters being gooey and sickly cute. How they find anime characters attractive is a mystery to me, because they look samey to me
anime is a huge genre (though noweredays it seems to have lost its imagination) so its hard to pin down on what creates an Otaku. Sometimes its just the whole "Japanesey" stuff :o

Not sure about your second question though..

-some aspects of the furry fandom. Yeah a lot of stuff they come up with are kind of mean spirited, cold and just cruel
-some bronies....some are just so nasty :o
-Weeaboos and Otaku. Really really really annoying
