A craptastic start to a new year..
General
10 degrees this morning with a 45 mph
wind, just the sort of morning weather
to really make you think twice about
taking our pup out for his morning walk,
but considering the alternative of a
mess on the floor, out into the cold we
went. He sniffed and left his pee-mail here
and there, but no zoomers. Oh well.
For the fifth or sixth year in a row, my
mate is elsewhere on New Years Day.
This year he decided to go to Atlantic
City, while I stayed home with the dog.
Granted, Blue is excellent companionship
and I do like those early morning doggy
kisses, but just once I wish Tom would
spend a New Years Eve with me. Granted
he'd probably wind up watching the ball
drop on the telly while I snored, so I guess
I'm just too boring for New Years.

If you did ask, then what was his reason for not staying?
he'd already made the reservations, so what good would saying anything do.
