Bet that caught their attention, for once.
The staffing on this site is deplorable. It's amazing to me how ignorant and abusive these moderators are. I've been around FA for years and years, and not once have I ever seen any dispute settled by a moderator, or at least in the correct manner. They leave all the moderation to the users discretion, allowing for an influx of white knights to plague journal posts. This site has sunk so low that users themselves are forced to police this site themselves, and cite COC violations when noticed. And don't even tell me about the ticket system, because that is a joke. Even Blizzard has better wait times, and their customer support staff is virtually non-existant. I've had a ticket posted three or four months ago. After a month of no reply, I bumped it with a message updating what was still happening. And here we are today, without any response or action taken from any sort of staff. And yet, they still had the time to re-enable a previously banned account that violated the rules by harassing a user, stealing their sona just to draw them dying, and several other incidents that should have cited a permanent IP ban.
So what is the point of this post? I know the staff looks at the journals and posts that rage about the site so they can close them. I want at least one member of the FA staff to take a look at this post and consider something (before banning me of course.) Look at the status of this website. What was intended to be a fun, whimsical furry community of artists, songwriters, and authors, has descended into a miserable cesspool of relentless bashing of one another with no moderation to cease the insufferable conflicts and riots. This website has affected the lives of so many people, in both good and bad ways. I truly believe Furaffinity can become a great site once again, but not without a complete and total overhaul of the system. Either hire new and professional managers, or get your shit in gear and start moderating this site like you are suppose to. People are being told to KILL themselves, and yet the staff takes priority on taking down journals that may be offensive to the staff themselves or the site.
So, whoever may be reading this, staff or user, take a step back and look at the state of this place.
What a fucking nightmare you have allowed this community to devolve into. A community without government leads to rebellion, riot, and madness. Human beings are incapable of mingling together in large numbers without some sort of moderation of interaction. Take this lesson to heart, developers, or else this site is going to either die off completely, or finally be taken down due to cyberbulling that has lead to suicides.

I haven't noticed much problems but then again I am but a small artist. Everyone has been kind to me. Whatever is going wrong i hope they fix it. But I guess it hasn't affected me yet.

Yeah,but it doesn't really have to do with how big you are on this site. There are plenty of very small-time artists who only have one or two drawings uploaded that are harassed on a daily basis. Look around for a little bit, and you'll see it everywhere.

I disagree. I've seen plenty of forums and online communities thrive under moderation from staff hand-picked by the administrative team. I believe that the main problem is the current staffs lack of drive and initiative. With how they currently act, my hope for this site is at an all time low, but that doesn't mean I can't still try to bring some awareness to the issue.

Little late to the party here but I completely agree with you lemme tell ya so I was just minding my own buisness just posting a picture and the way that fA caches pictures for some reason they turn out sideways for me unless you crop em. Now I had no idea that that was a rule and what did they do? They took down all the picture from my gallery that were sideways. now all of here work for every fav, watcher, etc that we get and im like couldnt you want me to fix it before you deleate everything and have to try and regain my favs. Anyways point is this was during the the whole furry migration to weasyl so it was a shitstorm around here. Why they werent handeling that and taking down mh pictures is forever a mystery to me.

I'm both glad to see someone who thinks clearly, and saddened by what you had to go through. It's a shame how many people this site has fucked over.
