Because I was given the advice of not coloring until my pencil work becomes better. So I'll be taking that advice and all my submissions for a while will be non-colored. (the person said that coloring is pretty advanced and I should wait until my pencil work becomes better.)
(for all those who want to know where I got teh advice it comes from this forum:

eh...I like the way it looks ^.=.^
You could always scan in a sketch and flood fill to colour it... or use coloured pencil.
icarus if i where you i would advence at my own rythm and if needed take tutorials from others. other then that i recomend you folow your own rules. that how i advence im retty sure im doing good so far. unfortunatly nobody will be able to see my latest art due to the fact its too big to scan.
I can see what their saying as getting the basics right but you will never improve if you dont color. My advise would be color a pic atleast once a week or more even if its the same one .
There's only one way to improve in art and that is to do it ,so practice, practice, practice
I'm saying advance with the line art of picture itself.
in other words. not with coloring but with drawing itself.
(and I know it might be harsh...but I dont think that it was that harsh.
to me harsh is like compleatly tearing down the art and in a way mocking.
The person did say that they liked my pencil work and that is not harsh...that's a compliment.)
Don't stop at the pencil work but also do not be afraid to color them as you draw them now.
Remember pencil work is just the black and white and is mostly to draw a basic or detailed shape of your subject. Adding more detail to your drawings doesn't usually mean it's confined to being built on pencil alone.
Color your drawings now. That will build your own style of how you wish to color it. If you get advanced in drawing and you're only a novice in coloring you'll most likely be unsatisfied with your work. Draw and color as many things as you can. Experience builds expertise.
What I suggest is that you draw something. Scan and make copies of it. Don't touch the originals with color because then you won't be able to use it again. And the first drawing is always the best. Practice on the copies and build your skills. Balance them out and you will be great.
