A short rant. ^_^

So I recently picked up DmC: Devil May Cry and honestly, if it wasn't called Devil May Cry, I wouldn't hate it so much. The combat is smooth, the weapons are nice and the combos are pretty sick. The only thing that I didn't like is Dante's new appearance (Coming from a long time DMC fan.), the really crappy writing and the fact that it isn't hard. When I think of Devil May Cry, I instantly think of how hard I raged when I was trying to beat Devil May Cry 3 on the Dante Must Die difficulty, a step up from the already agonizing Very Hard difficulty. With this new reboot, the Dante Must Die difficulty is a cake walk for long time fans compared to DMC 1 or 3. Even 4 since that game was fairly difficult as well. I found myself getting bored with the game the third time around. The game had replay value but only because you HAD to play the game a second time around if you wanted to upgrade Dante's health and Devil Trigger to maximum. The game only had a slight difficulty spike when it came to the first and only puzzle in the game which was also fairly easy. In only about two days, I had already completed all of the secret missions and beat the main game plus the extension pack, Vergil's Downfall a few times. For those who may be new to the Devil May Cry series, I would not recommend getting the reboot to begin with as the storyline is flawed in many ways and is extremely confusing if you were to start with this and then back track to the older games.
Anyways, rant over.
