A Question for those watching me....

This is a hypothetical question and I was wondering what some others responses might be.
It's 100 years in the future, and you are with the love of your life and from the looks of things, will never be splitting up, you are in the perfect relationship. But in the future, there are plenty of wars, and more and more people are dying each day from violence. You have been diagnosed with an incurable disease and have 6 months to live. With all of the advancements of mankind, there is a chance a cure will be found, but when it is found is not guaranteed. You have only two options:
1: you are put into cryogenic stasis until a cure is found. You might be out quickly, or you might be frozen for hundreds or even thousands of years. And with the ongoing violence on earth, who knows what will happen to the planet.
2: you live the last 6 months with your love, trying to make the time count and you lover watches you as your condition worsens and you finally die.
Which option would you choose?
This question is brought up after watching the short anime OVA, Aim For the Top: Gunbuster! Not only is this anime pleasing for the action lovers, but deals with a question similar to this one. And with events in my life making me question things, I just wanted to know what others would say.

Honestly, I fear death, so of course I would have to be frozen with the chance of coming out alive and cured. So, for my own, selfish reasons I would pick option 1. I would hope I awake when the violence has passed. Maybe people have grown a bit since then.
However, option 2 would be nice. But I don't think anyone knows or has experienced, true, blissful love. I have come close, but don't think I have ever reached that. So it's hard to imagine picking option two.
Overall, I would ask my partner. If my relationship was that good, I would want my partners advice and feelings in any decision I make.
So, I guess I couldn't make a choice. Then again, I think one would have to be put in the situation to appreciate it more.
