It's roughly a 6 hour plane flight to get there, and FC is longer than most cons. So really it costs me a lot to go, between flight cost, room, and food. Thankfully I never feel the need to buy anything at cons. :O

I don't see how you can, with the cost of traveling in the first place!


I cry inside

When I flew there the first time, I took a while to look around this website called kayak.com. They let me plan both flights so I could land in San Fransisco to hang out with my human friend before the con for a few days, and then leave from San Jose, after the con was over.

The price was really low. I only spent about $250 for the whole round trip. Though I'm not sure if it was just a good deal, or the airline kinda sucks. the flight there was cramped, and when I accidentally missed my flight back, the flight they redirected me to broke down, and then that the plane they were going to replace with THAT one broke down. ^^;; It might have just been bad luck though, and they were responsible and fixed the planes instead of sending a broken one or something. I forget which airline it was. :3

I'm saddened to hear this, Aquacoon. I know I will still show off your badge if it arrives before I leave.

:3 I'd like to give Anthrocon another shot, since my first time there wasn't exactly stellar. Though I'll have to debate whether I would fly or drive. It'd be kinda rough driving 10 hours by myself. But flying is such a hassle. That is if I can even go this year. I do plan on going again sometime though.
