So do moving trucks. So I've been going over math for my move to Pittsburgh. As of right now, at worst our gas costs will be around $1115. At best, they'll be around $670. Combine that with the 650ish for the truck and other costs we'll be dealing with, I'll have about a month in me before I collapse out there unless I get some source of income. x3

So things aren't so pretty right now.

Ship your stuff, it will likely be slightly cheaper and less wear on you.

That would have been possible if not for the bigger things. Like my bed. I don't want to have to buy another, so we're using a moving truck.

A basic bed is like 200 bucks at most. You sure you want to do this truck thing?

Where do you find this 200 dollar bed? We have a queen and it was around 600 bucks. That's the cheapest we found that was actually nice. :P

And you also gotta think of other things as well. It cost us around 1000+ to ship all our stuff the last time we moved from Oregon to Virginia. This was back in 2011. Plus the cost of getting us there, which would be anywhere from 300 to 600 for the both of us. Tack on the extra we'd have to spend to replace lost things... the truck is just looking like a better option.

man gas prices do suck these days. I filled up on the way back from California from a 3 day trip at a time share with my folks and it was over $4 a gallon!
