Theey think I might have fractured a tiny wrist bone. They're gonna re-x-ray in a weekish. Hopefully it's just a bad sprain and the cast can come off.

I was being pretty careful. they'd taken wedge shaped slices out of the curb so my ankle went over as i stepped off. I was wearing my walking shoes so no silly heels.

Well,then,there was nothing for it. You did all you could. Maybe you should just avoid the roadwork,even it means walking back to a previous cross walk.
