Kurt Cobain was seriously one of the coolest people ever

It's time to show some appreciation for one of my timeless heroes, Kurt Cobain. I really love that guy, he was a gift to the world and it is such a shame that he is gone. Not only was his music awesome, but he was an incredible human being. He was against all forms of bigotry, and was particularly an active feminist. He once said:
"At this point I have a request for our fans. If any of you in any way hate homosexuals, people of different color, or women, please do this one favor for us - leave us the fuck alone! Don't come to our shows and don't buy our records."
He also refused to go on tour with Guns and Roses, because he said they were racist, homophobic and sexist. He performed at several evens and charity benefits for anti-rape and general anti-bigotry organizations, and he often wore a dress to interviews and performances because "Wearing a dress shows I can be as feminine as I want.”
Now don't get me wrong, he wasn't perfect. He struggled with the cruelty and injustice of our world, seeing it for what it was and taking it very hard. His way of coping ultimately led to his downfall, which I believe to be a great tragedy in both music history and feminism/activism history. That being said, in the end he was an incredible person, despite being troubled.
Sorry for the random little rant, I just felt like appreciating one of my heroes <3
