So, I'm sitting here working on my daily doodle, and all I can think about now is how much my headphones are squishing my ears. So I'm taking a little break.
Now, I like a good over-ear pair of headphones, but what I am using now just isn't that kind to me any more. I believe I made a journal about these, like, a year ago when I got them, about how I liked the sound quality. But, anyway, They squish my ears too much over a long period of time, so by the end of the day, my ears hurt.
(I'm using a pair of Turtle Beach 5.1's by the way )
So, after a little while my ears hurt and I have to take them off. Which is is no fun, because I don't like listening to my things though speakers, because I don't really care for room noise and I don't want other people to be annoyed with the noise coming from my room.
So,
What are some good headphones, for someone who's a borderline audiophile, that I should maybe look for? I don't really want to spend too much on them, but I still want good quality sound and something that's comfortable to wear all day if needed to.
I also have a pair of Sony Extra Bass Headphones which are, perhaps over priced, but are nice and very comfortable, though the quality of the sound isn't as good. I find it's a little too bassy and not as crisp and clear when I want it to be. I'd use those, but the cord isn't long enough to wrap around the whole desk to be on the right side of it
TL;DR
So, yeah, what are some good quality, comfortable over-ear headphones which also have a long-ish cord? (If they have a cord, that is.)
I hope you guys are all doing well^^
I'mma get back to doodling<3

right now I'm kinda looking more towards Sennheiser's HD 280 Pro's and Sony's MDR7506 Pro's.
Both great quality Studio monitor headsets, and both pretty much at the most I'd want to pay for a new headset.
Such headphones won't have mic and other bells and whistles though, they're for just music. I cannot comment on most "computer use" things, but I have tried some supposedly higher end things (as far as cost goes) but I have been really disappointed with their sound (piss poor high freq reproduction), and many of the USB based things don't have equal-loudness based volume control requiring one to mess around with EQ settings at different volume levels or mids/highs are overblown or too quiet.
With that said build quality has to be good too. I don't like headphones the are all plasticky and feel cheep. I want them to last. Sound quality has to be good too.
The turtle beach ones I have we're nice. It's light weight and mostly made of metal instead of plastic they don't feel like they would break any time soon. It's the cushions that are worn out and I'd just replace those if not for the speakers that are starting to go out as well.
Turtle beach as done me good so far so I won't exclude them as I keep looking around.
Also not sure what the cord length is, but according to some reviews they are too long to walk around with. So they may be up your alley.
i'd recom the sennheiser headphones , they've got good quality sound , their wire is 2 meters long and the shape from the speakers are much better then the fully round ones.
Plus, the oval shape isn't to good because I like to wear one at a time or turn them a different way and I could see them getting in the way when I try to wear them like that. o:
But I hear Sennheiser is good. Just kind of expensive for a decent pair.
I'll give it a look though. Hopefully there will be some reviews of those somewhere online ^^
