Bad news :C

I went to the ENT again today to get a tube put into my ear. The doc has done thousands of tubes and he assured its pretty simple and routine. WELL for me apparently, that wasn't the case. My eardrum was so thick/inflamed and infected that instead of making a clean cut he had to repeatedly cut over and over again. And he just could not get the tube in. He couldn't make a hole large enough, the eardrum was too thick, and he was only able to get it halfway in. EVERY SINGLE CUT he made I felt, the numbing stuff did not do a thing at all. I could feel every painful cut and when he tried to get the tube in the pain was unbearable, pretty sure I yelled out FUCK. I almost broke down crying from the pain of him trying to get it in.
In the end... -it did not work- he drained the infection and gave me ear drops..but no tube to keep it open to make sure I don't get an infection again/let the fluid drain when there is more. So he ordered a CT scan to make sure I do not have a hard mass where my ear-bones are called a Cholesteatoma.
Anywho basically I'm on antibiotics and ear drops that may or may not clear this, there isn't the greatest chance it will. If I still have problems in the next couple days they're going to have to put me under anesthesia to put a tube in my ear...
To top it off my mother gave me a jab saying that she doesn't think the cat is the reason its this bad. Like what the fuck...yes it is. There is no other reason. I'm at my wits end, I'm emotionally and physically tired of pain I'm like in tears right now.
tl;dr
I have the worst infection my ENT has seen, went through a shit ton of pain, hopefully will heal/probably won't.

FA+

hopefully it helps though :<
the only word i can use to describe it is "chemical-y" and im not sure why <.<
I have to regularly clean mine of earwax every week cause if I don't I lose hearing cause of the wax buildup. ;n;
or just avoid furred pets i guess I mean lizards are p coo.
YOU' D THINK YOUR FAMILY WOULD NOTICE YOU AVOIDING THE CAT THOUGH
:c
and im sorry... that should have worked. The antibiotics will put down the infection. When that goes down it will thin out enough to make the cut and fix you up. Okay? :)
I really hope the doctors can help and I wish you never had to endure that absurd amount of pain for nothing. Good luck, sweetheart :(
Omg... is the pocketmew a kitty?!
I'm probably one of the few people to have any close idea of what kind of pain you were in. I had a catheter in my chest when I was in hospital, and when they took it out, the TWO locals they stuck in me did diddly-squat. JESUS FUCK did that hurt like hell, feeling them pull a tube out of a small hole in my chest. I don't think it was much more than a handful of inches in length, but by god it FELT like it was at least a meter. x_x
And don't get me started on the pain I felt when when they couldn't wait a couple more minutes for the general to take full effect before starting a bone marrow biopsy...
Hope your ear gets better, Pocket. And I hope it gets better soon.
Punch the cat in the FACE! You got this!
Hope it goes away soon!
seriously though, its been awful watching you endure this bullshit.
It's painful just imagining that... Ears are a bitch to treat. The canals are so narrow that it's hard to immediately get rid of any build-up or infection.
But anyway, hope you feel better soon, hun!
Also, the jab your mother threw; what else could it be? Was she accusing you of sticking "unorthodox" things in your ear? Outside of that time I passed out at a frat party, I've never had anything in my ear that would probably cause an infection of this magnitude.
