First of all, I want to say that I feel evil for lying to everyone that I wasn't going to the con >:D This was sort of copied from 
sideways who did the same thing at FE xD
So yeah... I'm back home and I'm tired. I'm gonna go straight to the point: This year, it was not the same. I really felt something changed in the way things were organised and I have to say that despite that this is a local con I've been enjoying so much, I wad WAY more fun OUTSIDE the convention than in it. I'm not gonna write a text... I'm just gonna lay out the pro's and con's of this year:
Pros:
- The theme was awesome! Steampunk was something really great to think of and I loved the decorations!
- Lots of artists! <3 I'm glad
anyare was there as it was her first time in Montreal <3 She's such a lovely person and a wonderful artist :D
- The pool/spa/sauna was really awesome!
- The hotel was really easy to find
- The hotel food was really good and affordable :D
- Thank you for accepting the dance Competition Idea!
Cons:
- We bought a suite... We were expecting a REAL suite... Not a junior suite where we had only one king bed when they promissed us two king beds -_-
- The staff of the hotel was just awfull... I'm not gonna start on how many times we asked some stuff that were just ignored or done wrong
- Like I said, the organisation seemed a bit off this year :/ I mean... Getting a DJ who only plays a youtube songlist for the dance... This was really bad I'm sorry :/ Plus, the lack of masquarade made me sad
- The fact that there wasn't any zoo to chill out with gangs and to actually GATHER up with everyone really disapointed me. I know I've probably missed the chance to talk to a lot of new people I didn't knew at all cuz this socializing part of the con was mainly non-existant
- There was no official photographer for the official fursuit picture
- There wasn't even a fursuit photobooth this year :(
So in overall... I'm gonna state my point to the staff when they'll get the survey out... But until then, with this disapointing con, I don't know if I'll be back next year... I think if they don't correct some stuff, WTFur's money will go for my first Anthrocon commission next year... I liked my weekend, but like I said, I had more fun outside the con than in this year... When you manage to make a bigger dance floor in a VIP room than on the dance floor itself, there's questions to ask ourselves :/
I don't want to let WTFur die in my heart as it is one awesome local con... But please staff... You HAVE to correct everything in the con's to save it...

I don't want to not go to What the Fur because it's where all my crew goes, but I gotta agree with you that the con was not the fun part of my weekend, it was the people who went to the con. I appreciate that the location was perhaps not their first choice and they can't just pull quality panels outta nowhere if no one is offering them, but the dance was a joke (the Chicken Dance, really?) and I am disgusted at their harassment policies. Not gonna lie, I'm going to call the actual police on the offending party next time something like this happens again because twice now is already two times too many.
While I was glad to see you at the con, I'm *appalled* to hear about what you went through! This is the kind of issue that I'd heard people talking about happening at cons for a while but I'd never had it happen to someone I know. If someone makes you consider calling the cops again for a reason like that you really should! People need to learn that this isn't acceptable behavior, that a con isn't just a place where they can go to treat people like this without consequences. And people wonder why most female-bodied people feel unwelcome in the fandom. :/
-but by being at the table for me it was easier to find/meet people, so maybe thats why.
