As far as local folks go, people that truely consider themself a friend should be involved at a level higher than saying hello every once in a blue moon. Come visit. let's have a lengthy conversation or some shit. Lets go out for dinner and catch up or something. Don't just leave it as "hello friend" and walk away. It feels fake when that's all I receive.
