Mood: wtf?

Okay, I'm sure you've all heard about this by now, but I have to share it because I have a lot of problems with law enforcement officials (traffic cops, mostly, but it does extend to any who are just plain stupid).

Okay, so a groom was going to his wedding the day after his bachelor party. For some reason, eight undercover members of the NYPD decided to shoot him with 50 rounds (50? I don't care if he was guilty or not, that's just fucking excessive!) and kill him on his wedding day! Last time I checked, the police could not give a reason that he was shot and killed, or the official cause of death, and weren't saying anything more on the subject. Oh, and to add one more layer to the problem: the groom was African American. Shot by white cops. Anyone smell racism at work?

I don't really mind law enforcement when they do their job well, but this kind of stuff just reminds me of how much I hate any system when it fucks up like this. I mean, what did they tell his bride. "Uh... oops?" or "Look on the bright side. Your groom is a very 'holey' man!" Stupid doughnut-munching idiots! You don't deserve to be some of New York's finest!
