Thoughts on a subject (TW)

I don't really want to be all that political/whatever on this account, since it's basically my business one, but I also feel like I don't want business from bigots & insensitive pricks. So...This is kind of why I am ridiculously frustrated. Recently, there has been a lot of talk about whether or not it is okay to use the words "t****y" and "s*****e." (Protip: It's not) The furry community fucking loves "s*****e." I honestly don't see that ever changing.
I, and many other of my trans siblings, have been accused of "language policing" because we're nicely asking people (mostly cisgender, homosexual drag queens) to not use those words. I'll try to sum up how this has progressed over the past months.
T community: "Hey, ummmm... That language you're using? It's kind of offensive and fosters a hostile environment for us. It would be really awesome and supportive of you to not do that, do you think you could do that for us, since we've been supporting you on all this other stuff?"
Shitty People: "No. Stop being so sensitive."
T community: "Ok... well... It's not really an issue of whether we're sensitive or not. Those words are like "f****t" to you. Surely you can relate to that?"
Shitty People: "Yeah. Don't care. By the way you're really a man/woman/binaried individual."
T community: "Ummm... Wow. Okay. Here's some information on how those words have negatively impacted us for a long time. Do you think that you might consider making a small change in the words you use? It would REALLY help us achieve equality."
Shitty People: "Nope. Fuck you, I hope you die, you fascist t****y."
T community: "Wow. Could you please not say that, it's negatively impacting people's lives and contributing to violence against them."
Shitty People: "And? Go fuck yourself."
T community: "...Seriously, dude, it's getting really old. Please stop using that language."
Shitty People: "HEY. LOOK AT THIS FUCKING T****Y OVER HERE!"
T community: "..."
If you use those words around me, I will ask you ONCE to not do it. After that, I'm going to stab you in the eye with whatever sharp thing happens to be closest. I'm tired of seeing my community ask people to be decent human beings and be ridiculed for it.

I dont understand why people are so difficult. I mean, if asked nicely and politely, I cant get why someone would not stop whatever they're saying/doing...
But then again, I dont understand a lot of people x.x
I'm tired, so Im not even sure if the point of this comment is clear, x.x
I've seen pics with that label in the tag
I also really really hate c*****y and d******l.
I know that this kind of thing is a fetish for some people. And that's fine.
But it's not cool to take my gender identity, invalidate it, then shove your bastardized perception of it down my throat as something that's nothing more than a fetish to you. Because it's not really hot to stay up late at night sobbing your eyes out because you feel like a boy and a week later miserably staring at your face wishing you'd been able to fight the dysphoria enough to figure out makeup so you can hide the dark circles under your eyes from the anxiety, the depression, and the flat out loneliness of not being cisgender. I don't get off on the fact that no clothing feels right on me or makes me feel attractive because I don't know what I'm SUPPOSED to wear. It's infuriating and confusing to want to be cisgender and not know which binary gender I want to be comfortable in. It's not sexy. I don't enjoy it.
Everyone has problems. Sensitivity is not a bad thing and everyone has the right to ask people to stop doing things that make them uncomfortable...and everyone has the right to say no if they choose not to. But, whether you truly believe that words like t****y and s******e are appropriate or whether you're just looking to fight about it, refusing to take a respectful request to change your language makes you an asshole.
that is all soapbox over
*re-reads*
Oh! I see. the only time I really use those words is when I'm searching for porn about it. I search for mtof, or genderfluid, I got youtube videos about serious stuff, I search for those words, I can actually find pr0nz.
best to just refer to people by. y'know. their name. :P
Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

How do you have a rational discussion with someone like that?
And yeah, herm should probably be removed/replaced.
I think that furries will come around, eventually, we've got far greater numbers in this community than society in general. It's just organizing everyone and finding a platform that we can use to /get/ our voices heard.
But, yeah, I'm done not being a bitch. The only reason to keep using hateful words after someone asks you not to is willful ignorance or malicious intent. And I do not abide either.
Obviously nothing changes as a result of an internet flame war.
The issue is how to get more visible voices into media? We can be nice and sweet and kind and continue to get passed over, or (as I see it at least) we can make noise and keep yelling and doing everything we can to get noticed. I don't know. I'm still a trans baby, so maybe I'm just wrong.
