A bit of a RANT

This isn't aimed at anyone in particular its just a general short rant.
If an artist has a PRICE MAP and TOS (terms of service). READ THEM. AT LEAST DO SOME HOMEWORK.
Seriously I've had people expect so much work at one time for a base price for a single character on the line work
level and when they got the ACTUAL price...they flipped out complaining 'its way too expensive/pricey'. Keep in mind
there's people behind these pieces of work, not a robot. The artist isn't the rude one in this case its the commissioner.
Want to avoid the shock, do your homework, look over their prices and the terms. Check how much additional Items
will be to the price. Because seriously claiming obliviousness and expecting a little price because you decided to NOT look
over the prices is your fault and rude.
Now before you go onto the what ifs, Im not covering the personalities and atitudes of every individual artist and commissioner.
I'm stating just on a common sense level...LOOK OVER THEIR WORK, THEIR RULES AND THEIR PRICES BEFORE ASKING FOR THE WORK.
And yes as a side note. I do know that sometimes extra things need to be discussed through notes with the artist but don't ...don't do what is mentioned above.
ps: stating 'isnt that a bit much, pricey, etc' is rude...don't do it. If you wouldn't do it in a restaurant for example...don't do it here.
Thank you

Hope that kinda thing doesn't happen too often though, it IS rude and actually shows how lazy people have gotten.
but Ive heard it happening to other artists I know as well and its been chipping away at me
I have seen some seriously rude behaviors both in comments on journals and in streams, plus I've heard some horror stories from a few artist friends and I just..??? People are so nasty and rude sometimes.
for what ever excuse they have. Hell I've had some all 'oh well i was really sick for blah blah blah and I don't have that much'
SO don't COMMISSION AN ARTIST ITS A LUXURY ITEM NOT A NEEDED ITEM. Its not OUR problem you can't afford it or our responsibility
to take care of your financial issues. I just......ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh
THIS!
IS!
FURRY!
Conversely, I'm amazed how often I see commissioners thinking they own all rights to the art they commission. I'm neither an artist nor a commissioner. I've bought a couple adoptables. But even I know that the artist retains rights to the work they made.
