I'm developing a system that monitors your FA account for new Notes, Submissions, Comments, Journals, Favorites, and Watches. Based on your preferences the system will send you a text message letting you know that you have new note, submission, comment, etc.
I decided to develop this because I frequently forget to check for notes when I'm out doing things and I thought it would be helpful if I got a text message whenever I got a new note. Many times I commission art and the artist is in a different time zone. I like to be prompt with communicating with artists and making payments to them.
On May 27th I programmed a proof-of-concept. Over the few days following that I wrote a stable beta version that is ready for testing!

The Beta version if this is live at: Beta.FurAlert.me If you would like to register for an account please ask me for a beta tester code and I will send you one very quickly (usually in under 30 mins). Please keep in mind this is my live development environment, so things may break from time to time as I am programming and it certainly doesn't look nice. I will hire some artists for the final site. You can register on the "New Account" page on Beta.FurAlert.me. Currently the system only supports AT&T and Verizon. I am looking for testers on other carriers so I can add those carriers. Please post on this or note me if interested :)
When this is completely done I plan to release it to the community for free. There will be a simple way to create an account & log-in using your FurAffinity credentials, manage your preferences (what type of notifications you want to receive) and to remove your account from the system. It will be completely secure. I am hoping to support all USA phone carriers, as well as most major carriers in Europe, the UK, AU, NZ, and a few other places. The system authorizes against FA, so you don't need to remember seperate account details.
For now I am looking for testers to help me out with this. Computer/programming knowledge is NOT necessary at all. All you need to be a tester is a cell phone with SMS (text messaging) capabilities, decent communication skills, and a reasonable command of the English language.
Please reply if you're interested (and tell your friends) and I'll send you a note with some more info. I'm hoping to get testers on lots of different cell phone carriers.
Future functions I hope to implement are:
-Customized texts letting you know who noted you and providing a link to the message
-Ability to monitor a certain submission for comments (so if you are bidding on auction you will know when others comment)
