Al Gore
A lot of you may be too young to remember, but back in the mid 80's, a Brit discovered a hole in the ozone layer above the south pole.
Many science experiments in labs showed that chlorine breaks down the fragile Ozone molecule and jumped to the conclusion that man made chemicals used in hair spray and air conditioners must be the cause, as they contain chlorine. Scientists rang the alarm bell. A young senator from Tennessee named Al Gore ran around the senate floor telling everyone that we were all doomed. The sky is falling, literally. He said we must ban CFC's or face death. Freon (R-12) was a demon.
Ok. Some real scientists began looking at the problem and said "But chlorine is heavier than air. If it gets released into the atmosphere, it simply falls to the ground, it can not rise to the top layers of the atmosphere."
But AL was not deterred. He kept running around claiming the hole was a big deal. In 1992, freon was banned from new autos. Taxes were put on R-12 (Freon) so that the prices went from under a dollar a pound to $50 per pound, and then it was banned (in the US). The replacement was not as efficient, and uses more fuel to cool, so it is less "environmentally friendly".
Other news from 1992, the year Freon was banned from new cars and phased out: DuPont's patent for Freon ran out. Anyone could make cheap freon and DuPont would miss out a lot of money. The approved replacement for Freon happened to be a DuPont patent.
With only 7 years of data, Freon was banned, costing consumers billions of dollars. Now that we have been monitoring the hole in the ozone layer for 23 years, guess what? Every winter in the South Pole, the ozone layer thins and a hole appears. In the summer, the ozone thickens and the hole goes away. Just a normal cycle. Was that happening 200 years ago? How the hell do we know?
DuPont, and others, were big donors to Gore. Did Gore own DuPont stock in the 80's and 90's? Did he make money off the ozone scare? Hell yes!
The big question now is, how the hell can you believe a word that comes out of his mouth on climate change? He fooled us once. Look at his holdings. He stands to make billions of dollars if we fall for his bunk again. So do his rich friends.
It worked for him before, and his followers are too stupid to see the inconvenient truth: Al Gore is working a get rich scam.
If only he had a platform in the 70's when his scientist buddies were talking ice age.
How can people be so stupid as to fall for this load of crap. Again.

And where is that whole "Climate Change" thing gore and others been talking about? 2008 was the coldest year ever and we needed some of that to balance things out :c of course I can't speak for other foreign nations but.. *Shrugs.*
OMG, on December 23 this year it was 26, but on last year, it was 21! THE EARTH WAS WARMING!
