My older brother Eric works in North Dakota on an oil rig, he said it's a great paying job but I couldn't handle the cold myself

Planning on leaving MT myself in the next year and a half. Not looking at ND though, winters are crazy over there.

Good luck, and watch your ass if you go in one of those "work camps." They've been building some nice apartments there in Williston though so you probably won't have to worry too much about that. If the oil rig stuff doesn't appeal to you there's also tons of construction work going on out there too, so much they aren't even picky about hiring right now.
