Oh great, scammers on my Skype!

helo yes Alright, so I logged onto Skype and got a request from someone--I had assumed it was someone I knew from tumblr and rped with on a regular basis, but as soon as they started talking, my alarm bells rang so hard they shattered.
Below is the conversation:
[12:39:43 AM] Lauren Bryant: thanx 4 accepting my invite, feel like talkin?
[12:40:43 AM] The Glitch: I don't know you. I thought you would be someone I knew, but I was wrong.
[12:41:01 AM] Lauren Bryant: i got ure name from the profile directory here on skype cuz i was bored and lookin for new people to talk to. lol
[12:41:06 AM] Lauren Bryant: 25/f here u?
[12:42:46 AM] The Glitch: None of your business--but I'll give you a hint: not old enough to be giving out personal information to some stranger over skype.
[12:43:03 AM] Lauren Bryant: so what r u up 2?
[12:44:04 AM] The Glitch: ... I think you're a bot. If you try to make me join some site I've never heard of, I'm reporting the hell out of you and blocking you.

So, after threatening, I decided to do a bit of research, figuring that I had already gone too far into the conversation... Lo and behold, after a couple of quick searches, I found some fairly interesting results that quickly proved my suspicions:

One of the names listed was--*gasp!* Caitlin Bryant. A little more research and a bit more toying with the bot, and yep. "She" asked for a card to pay for the site.
If you get an email, skype request, or anything like that from any user with "Bryant" as the last name, PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT IT. BLOCK AND/OR REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY, BECAUSE IT IS A SCAM. Please, spread this around, because I don't want anybody falling for this scam artist's tricks.

Reminds me of. An email I got in a language I don't know, talking about Brasil. Some Google Translate and someone on here from Brazil to confirm...it was something trying to get me to register an account created for me... o.Õ Reported it right away. Then a text about a place I haven't banked with needing my information. I deleted it because I couldn't figure out how to report a text. Oh, and one about two years ago about free gift cards.
Nebberebberever give out info like that. I'm wondering how they got my number (unlisted, unpublished) and email.
I'm super duper paranoid anyhow--I wouldn't give out any information like that for any reason ever. When anybody sends me links, I start to ask questions when I'm unsure of the source or content. A couple of times on facebook, I received some messages from strangers. I was quick to look them up, too, just to be sure. You can never be too careful.
Yeah, I won't even post a photo online of myself, nor a birthday. I actually haven't even sent a photo in email either. I'm cuter as a dwaggy. X3 It never hurts to check deeper.
If that doesn't scream scam, I don't know what does! =)
Maybe being an old fuddyduddy and a digital dinosaur helps me in such instances.
