The best way to know is to start it. It picks up slowly but eventually gets more and more interesting. It does get very confusing by the end if you didn't follow everything. If by the end of the first Act you don't like it, you should not force yourself.

yea i was told i should keep track of everything, but if i get past the 1st act and i dont like it just skip to the 5th a read that. xD

If you skip to the 5th act, you will be beyond confused. A looot of stuff happens

Well depend

It's like Lost, X-Files, Twin Peaks... it's easy to think there's going to be a big reveal and all questions answered, but it just keeps going and going and going... adding more characters people may or may not care about, plot like a high a squiggly school doodled drawn when bored, and layers like an onion thrown in a compost heap in the backyard and found growing three years later. It's starts slow... gets good, and then just coasts long after the reader figures out the carrot and stick formula. It just adds more quirky characters, paradoxes, mysterious coincidences until one gets sick of them. Then it goes on hiatus for months and restarts after the reader has forgotten half of it. It's total geek-bait.

I think its definitely worth a read. It's got lots of humor and drama mixed throughout. Although it can get ridiculously long winded at times, and at other times up its own butt, it's over a great story. There are great animated sequences with fantastic music, little mini games that are fun, and its got some great art and character moments.

If you feel like the text logs are getting way too arduous to read through or concentrate on then I'd highly recommend Let's Read Homestuck. All the characters are really well voiced and the editing is quite well done. It's a really good way to read the comic without having to deal with the MSPA website and is just overall a whole lot more engaging.
