My annual trip to the States begins Saturday June 14. Very much looking forward to seeing my friends again, and doing a bit of travelling around.

However, the timing has turned out to be bad in other respects. My brother and I have been planning on moving into a new house for quite some time, but the pace at which it has been built has been snail-like, and months overdue. Guess when we get the keys? Friday the 13th. Now we still have to get the concrete people in to do our driveways, porches, and so forth, but the plan is to be moving in within two weeks, right in the middle of my trip. I can't do much more than some basic packing beforehand, and I'm going to be rushed off my feet when I get back, just when I would normally be taking it easy to deal with jetlag before I have to go back to work. I'm not going to be a happy person for a few days.
