Illness and More Game Idea Probing

Want to know something that can wreck your entire plans for the weekend?
Bronchitis
Fucking Bronchitis. Bronchitis so bad that I am just now able to sit up at the computer and type vs being completely bed-ridden. I just wish it would go away already.
Anyways as for the previous game question I think the votes made the Cyberpunk/Film Noir idea look good.
I also had an idea of a game genre that probably has been done before (because you know, everything probably has been done before). Also, it isn't completely thought out yet, but here it is:
"LMORPG" or "Limited Multiplayer Role Playing Game"
Summery: Players create or join servers up to a certain number of players. Bulk of characters are NPCs and servers can be private or public.
___The whole concept is based on the difference between player characters and NPCs in most games, in that the players usually end up being the "chosen one" and are without a doubt end up being the most important person in whatever world they live in, sometimes to a ridiculous degree really.
___Look at Skyrim, by the time you've played through it not only are you the Dragonborn and the savior of all existance, but you're likely the leader of the Companions, the Mage's College, the Dark Brotherhood, the Thieves Guild, a very high rank in one of the two Civil War factions, and a noble and land owner in all of the major cities. And that doesn't include the downloadable content.
___Contrast that to a typical MMORPG or "Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game" where you are just one in many players with the same rank, class and other attributes. Even if you have reached the top level and have collected the biggest shoulder plates for your armor (seriously WoW has some massive shoulder armor). You are still essentially a nobody, there's nothing unique about you.
___I'm starting to think that a more intimate muliplayer experience, one that encourages players to play with people they know or make new friends and work together as a group easier. And with that I mean that instead of another nobody clan you could be in a posse of the most powerful players in any given server. In a nutshell, the player characters are the protagonists in the game's story. Competition can be made tighter and accomplishments can be made more meaningful and permanent. The servers should have an extensive amount of options available to.
___The idea isn't perfect and I already have in mind a few things to work out, like how new players and more experienced players would be able to interact. Particularly I don't want more experienced players being able to keep the new players down, since they will have quite an advantage in game.
