I really don't have the necesary things for Digital art, but I'll wings it the best I can for now. I want to get things figured out about why I don't feel like I'm making progress.

Don't quit, keep at it, if you ever get the chance maybe take some art classes at a community college.

I've been trying to get back into school for art for a few years now. But, whenever I start to go to apply, my finances get screwed up. I'm going to finish everything I've got started, and then try and figure things out from there...

Hey there Ki. If you quite drawing you WILL regret it...I speak from experience here. when i was with my x she would throw a fit every time i sat down to draw. so i gave it up. 14 years later, thousands of undeveloped ideas later that never saw the light of day and a gental push from my current mate changed that. Im happier now but i look back a curse my Xs' life for all that time/skill I lost.
you are improving even if you dont think so you are. I look at what Ive done and I say its crap. EVERY artist is rarely happy with what they do because they/you see all the mistakes (thats good trust me thats good) what you think of what you do is only a very small part of improvement. I see you developing so do others. You are at the point now that you can really start to make leaps and bounds because you are looking at what you do with a critical eye. USE THAT. pick something just one thing you want to improve and work on that then after your better at that pick the next thing you want to work on. Just don't focus on everything at once because its allot slower and much more frustrating. trust me hun I know about this if nothing else.
If it helps I issue you a challenge here and now. if you take it fine if not fine but I would like to see you work more on your shading. it will help bring your pictures off the page. then when you feel your ready Ill give you another challenge

Thanks Inali. I quit drawing before, way back when I was still in grade school. My own parents said I needed to stop, and that upset me to the point that I did. I quit drawing until after graduating and picked it back up then. I've been working at it since then, and now I feel like I've hit my ceiling. If I do continue, I'm just going to change mediums, if not, I'll fall back on another art form. I did that the first time I stopped drawing, and it allowed me to step back and look at what I needed to improve.
