Trucking life is pretty good, dispatch screws us over sometimes and parking is hard to find at truck stops as well. But we've been doing pretty good so far. I like seeing states I've never been before, just could go without all the roadkill.

I can only stay out for so long till my mom stays complaining cause we have rats at home and she has to feed them while we're gone. So when they pass on it'll be different. But till then I'm only out here for the month, or until his checks start being more then $300-400 a week cause that's less then what he was making at auto zone.

truckin life aint as easy as it seems lol

Nope, cause you're only allowed to drive 11 hours a day, and you have to take a 30 min break. So he gets paid 23¢ a mile, well technically 31, but 7¢ is taken out for taxes and 1¢ he chose to put into retirement. So there's that much, and then when loading and unloading he gets paid $14 an hour. It all sounds great but that's only if you drive a lot and dispatch doesn't screw you over by making you sit for days cause you don't get paid for sitting. And when he takes his 34 hour reset that's mandatory he doesn't get paid then either. There's a lot of ups and downs, like he's paying $25 a month for the $300 truck gps from the company, and he pays $10 a month for insurance for me to be able to ride with him.

But when you're doing good and no one is screwing you over, you can make up to $800 a week. I like the traveling of it, even though I'm not able to go look at cool attractions and stuff, cause he's working and the truck and trailer have gps on them so the company always knows where we are.
