Possible name change????

I have found there is another artist that uses the name Inali. I did some research and discovered I had the name first. unfortunately they are actually very good AND have put allot more work out then i have. i dont mind this but I would like to avoid confusion in regards to those who watch her and myself. Being that she has established herself under that name first and does much different work then I do (i don't think she draws yiff) I only have about 12 pics out but only 2 thats gotten much attention. Why would that be an issue??? wouldn't it be beneficial? yeah it could be but I would much rather earn a following on my own merit, not leech on someone else's coat tails. Since I have the option/luxury of changing my name before I become to well known I think I should.
See back when i tried to follow Dens work I had found almost all of his work. then he changed his name about 20 or 30 pics in (<----guesstimate) and it took almost 9 months before I could figure out what they changed it too. I went about acquiring more of they're work under the new name, but every time i think i have found everything I missed another 3 or 4 pics show up that I didn't know about and its frustrating.
to save anyone that issue with confusion I should change it now before i release another piece. there are 2 and a tentative 3rd sooooo yeah fun stuff
I have no idea what Ill change it to yet. Hopefully the change shouldn't confuse things too much.
Any ideas are welcome.

I had thought of useing that name at first. then remembered there are a few ppl from there that cause allot of drama and its use would make it far to easy for them to follow. I figure in changing the name I can let those know and wish to continue associating with know where I am. at the same time not leave a trail those drama queens can follow easily. at least not until i reestablish myself, and at that point any drama they try and start shouldn't be likely to take hold

Yeah and I know Ill likely be ridiculed for my the choice im thinking of useing but it isnt used by any other artist here so im going to likely use it soon as figure out how to get FA to accept my selection. add them to the drama and it makes for major headaches

Yup, that's true.Well, I was going to suggest Fox in Russian, which is "лиса" (pronounced the same as the name "Lisa") but that's not really a good idea.

given i wouldnt mind useing another word for fox. however i dont have the font for Russian and likely would have used the romanic equivalent and i think there is a Lisa here on FA

Ah. I don't use Russian text often, but I have a key command set up for it if I want to type in the language XD Same with Spanish.

why don't you use a possible variation or differentiation of the word vulpine/fox/or other, in another language maybe. there are a lot of good ones out there that sound so much better when translated into another language.

Actually Inali is the Cherokee word for fox. Im currently looking at Greek French Aborigine and a few other Native American languages for something that fits as well as Inali had

well the greek word is alopekos, it will be a name i'm using for a book but you can use it. the french word for fox is renard (as in the music maker who creates songs for vulpvibe.com) dunno if you can use that. i dont know aborigine. i'm sure you'll think of something. X3

I would... however I feel a name one takes should fit them. as with many of the native american beliefs I tend to follow a name brings with it certain things, some good some bad. if you are the one choosing your name you must take care to give it careful consideration. I have believed this to be more true then superstition being i had taken names before with little thought and those names always brought drama or woes i dont care to repeat (e.g prosen and the drama around that name). I have taken great care in choosing my new name. i took my RL name researched its real meaning and looked for its equivalent in other languages. minus a small alteration I think the new name will fit well. only one drawback and that is that there will be those who will think i got it from an anime, and unfortunately feel the need to give grief for it. personally i feel it fits well and those that actually read this post will understand why i choose it. for the FA page ill only submit the first part since its easy to pronounce. The second part will contain the remainder and likely be signed on each piece i complete. though im still debating that and may only let those who get to know me IRL in on that part.
