Eep not the sick! Be sure to get plenty of rest. The artist is always far more important than the art after all. I for one wouldn't want you to have to slave over a drawing for me if you were feeling under the weather. :)

I honestly tried for a good hour or two. Just on the same simple shape. Kept trying, being unhappy with it, not being able to visualize things well, having to erase and start over, just not "feeling it" as it were. Just, yeah :S Clearly wasn't going to work.

So I did end up staying in bed most of yesterday, stayed off the computer and away from work mostly. Read some, was nice. But yeah, I just feel badly using illness as an excuse to not do work when it comes to art or writing or other things that seem like physical illness shouldn't stop you from being able to do it. But creative stuff really seems to rely a lot on state of mind, though, so it actually IS an impairment if you're "not all there" - similarly, why a lot of more extreme artists like to rely on mind-altering substances, because they feel it helps them :b

Will give people' sketches another shot today, though!

I've been there before with my writing all too many times. Creativity definitely relies on state of mind and generally any manner of illness tends to cloud the mind with distraction as you're focused on dealing with the symptoms which in turn leads to frustration because they keep drawing you away from what you'd rather be focused on. Just try not to push too hard if you can't get in the zone. A few days taken for a good recovery is time well spent and there's certainly no harm in a client having to wait a few extra days on some work.

*nods* Oddly enough, I actually tend to have better luck writing when I'm overtired or sick o_O

NOW, big difference, however, between being able to write, and being able to write WELL XD

I tend to really dislike my writing, overthink it a ton, so when I'm really overtired or not well, it tends to flow from me more easily, more naturally, whereas normally it will take me twice as long to write something. But yeah, no guarantee on quality, though XD Just I think it's better to be able to write SOMETHING and then have something to edit later, than it is to not be able to write something at ALL.

But yeah, that's just my weird personal exception.
