It seems like the Iraqi security forces are in no shape to combat ISIS as is. 429 million bucks in the hands of the terrorists, plus Mosul, 1,000 prisoners and tons of US equipment isn't going to help that at all.

So you're telling me a supposedly small terrorist cell is able to organize itself in such a degree that it overtakes a trained security force and overruns a city?
This sounds like they're not so much terrorists, just really destructive trolls.
Isis is new, but not small, and they operate in both Iraqi and Syria, so they have battle experience unlike many of the Iraqi troops. Their goal is a Sunni Islamic state that spans northern Iraq and Syria.
GOD DAMNIT ARCHER!
Really lost an opportunity to build a Northern-Alliance like coalition there pre or early in the 2003 invasion.
