Ok, I need to rant about this. Big time. (swear warning)

These...these motherfucking.....IDIOTS. I am SO pissed off about hearing this story. I've heard my share of bad and outrageous news, but this? This tops the shit cake and lights it on fire.
TWIRLING A GODDAMN PENCIL IS IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM IN ANY WAY RELATABLE TO A GUN. IN ANY FUCKING SENSE. AND WHOEVER THINKS SO IS A FUCKING DUMBASS.
I am just SO FUCKING MAD that a simple action, one so simple, that many of us have probably done it, without even /thinking/ of doing it, is now apparently something that needs psychiatric help. Seriously. Right now, if you have a pen or pencil or something similarly sized right next to you, pick it up and twirl it in your hand. And tell me if you find anything, ANYTHING, that can relate to a gun in ANY way.
See, the bully saying something like that, is to be expected. After all, they are the bully for a reason. And while is makes me angry that that poor kid is being bullied to that point and something should be done about the bully, the mere fact that the teacher AND superintendent sided with an OBVIOUS bully, OVER SOMETHING SO DAMN STUPID AT THAT, just shows me how fucked up this world is getting and how fast. I remember being told things like, 'Don't twirl your pen, the cap or pen can fly off and hit someone.' or 'Don't stick a pencil in the hole on the ruler and spin it around like a helicopter.' You know, things that actually make some damn sense. And even if we didn't listen, the MOST we would get is a write-up, if that.
Oh, and here's another line that I would just LOVE to point out: "When a student misbehaves or displays actions that are non-conforming or don’t meet our expectations, it causes us some concerns."
Lemme put that again, in case you missed it: "When a student misbehaves or displays ACTIONS THAT ARE NON-CONFORMING or don’t meet our expectations, it causes us some concerns." NON. CONFORMING. ACTIONS. Because we're all supposed to be little fucking mindless robots and god forbid one of us go 'rogue' and attempt to BE OURSELVES. Fuck what this world is coming to. Fuck it fuck it fuck it fuck it. I know there is good in the world and really awesome things that people are trying to do and are doing, but when you hear about shit like this it kinda makes you....lose hope, you know?
Anyways, sorry for the long rant, but I needed to let it out somewhere. Was having a great day, just got done watching
gonnaneedabiggerboat's live stream (who, vore lovers should definitely check out btw. Amazing artist) and then I read this and got pissed. I feel sorry for this kid. I really, really do and I hope his parents take all actions necessary to set this shit right. Taking him out that school, suing the school board, you name it. So long as it helps that boy out. Thanks for reading, if you decided to read it all the way through.

They think the victim child had issues before? Pfft. Distrust, depression, anxiety, lack of confidence -- the school is only ensuring these feelings become more evident in the child's life. Showing him that if he's different he's bad. If he's disliked by other people, he's the problem. If he is being treated badly by his peers, there is no one he can turn to.
His parents need to get him the fuck out of that school and into one that's not run by brainwashing pricks..
And don't get me started on video games being linked to murder, but that's a discussion for a different time. But back on point. I can't imagine the adverse affects it could have on this kid. Taking a random, innocent and more than likely sub-conscious action and turning into something that needs condemning? I thought humanity was past those days, but apparently some of us like to relive the past. If anything, actions like this LEAD to people snapping and going beserk. Those asshats better be damn glad I live states away, otherwise I'd march up there with pencils a-twirlin, getting anybody I could to do the same. Non-violent protest their ass, only because anything more would further their point.
People are going about it all wrong - focusing on guns and representation of such weapons when they should be directing their attention to the CAUSE of such incidents. Ie. The kid being bullied in the first place. Instead of forcing gun restrictions and weapon laws down peoples throats why not actually enforce a welcoming non-descriminating environment for children to actually grow up in? Where time is spent cracking down on the harsh way kids are treating each other and not the weapons the kids will use one day after being treated as such. I understand the paranoia and I also understand eliminating any source of weaponry access could help change the tides of violence -- but why is everyone so focused on the tools and not on the source? You could take all the weapons in the world away but if there is still this horrid fear, self-loathing, hatred, etc. being felt by these kids [brought on by neglecting to surround them in not just a physically safe environment but emotionally safe as well] then they will simply use themselves as the tool. It's that simple. What would we blame then? Limbs? Would we put shock collars on them?
All the places the mentioned are merely focusing on the symptoms; what they need to cure is the disease.
