1. What’s your favorite Pokémon? Dunsparce. I realize it's not an especially good pokemon, but it's one of the first I ever set up to use competitively and was somewhat successful with (IIRC it ran a Paraflinch set with Headbutt, Glare, Bite, and Water Pulse, which really wasn't too good but it did what it needed to). Would I use it competitively today? Probably not, as there's better Paraflinchers out there. But Dunsparce holds a special place for me.
2. What’s your least favorite Pokémon? Delcatty. All I see is wasted potential due to lackluster stats. It doesn't have the defenses to work with Cute Charm or Wonder Skin (the latter of which is used by much better pokemon) and Normalize is nothing but the Walmart-brand Protean; it ensures STAB on all moves, but also ensures a Normalize Delcatty is walled y Rock, Steel, and Ghost types. Its offenses are too shit to run an offensive set, and its defenses are too poor for a defensive or stat-reliant set. It just makes me sad to look at it.
3. What 6 Pokémon would be on your team? Hard to say, since it'd depend on what tier I'm preparing for. In a just-for-fun team though, I'd probably go for Mismagius, Alomomola, Ninjask, Avalugg, Probopass, and Keldeo. Leaves me team fairly weak to Electric attacks, but eh, I can make due with Probopass as a special wall more than likely.
4. Favorite type? I think Bug. It's kind of a dark horse type IMO, in that it's one of the types that nobody really prepares for it, but it can actually be fairly threatening. It also has some of my favorite pokemon in it, which really pushes it forward for me.
5. Least favorite type? Fighting. I have yet to see a Fighting type that really appeals strongly to me. So are more interesting than others, I'll grant, and it's absolutely a great offensive type, but the pokemon themselves are mostly meh for me.
6. Favorite region? Hoenn. I think 3rd gen was probably my absolute favorite, and it's the last gen I was willing to play all the way through the game. Which is why the remakes actually have me kinda pumped~ They best have the secret bases in the remakes though because if not I will flip a bitch. >:C
7. Favorite move? Picking a favorite move is really tough since there's a lot that are worthy, but I guess I'll have to go with Power Gem here. It's highly unexpected since it's Rock's only Special move with more than 60 base power, and can be used by a lot of things you wouldn't think to prepare for it from (such as Misdreavus or Carbink).
8. Favorite Normal-type Pokémon? Dunsparce, for reasons already covered. Though I have to say Furfrou gives it a run for its money.
9. Favorite Fire-type Pokémon? It's a tie between Chandelure and Volcarona. Both are amazing. I think Chandelure just barely edges it out, though, if I absolutely must pick one. This may change once Volcanion comes out though...
10. Favorite Water-type Pokémon? Alomomola. One of the best Wish passers in existence that isn't related to Chansey, even if its moveset is fairly predictable. Its physical offense is surprisingly good for a defensive pokemon too.
11. Favorite Electric-type? This one goes to Eelektross. Electric is a great defensive typing, but so few pokemon utilize it. Eelektross does so well, though, by Levitating, making it one of the few pokemon left that requires specific moves or abilities to actually hit it with a type it's weak to. Rotom is a close second, simply due to most of its forms having rather unique typing.
12. Favorite Grass-type? There's a decent number of them I dig, but the prize I think is gonna go to Torterra. Even though it's a mediocre pokemon, its typing is unique, it's got a bitchin design, and it actually makes a really decent Assault Vest user.
13. Favorite Ice-type? Avalugg, hands down. What other Ice type can shrug off nearly any physical attack, including ones it's weak to? It'd be nice if it had a secondary typing to improve its defensive standing (Ice/Fairy would have been ideal IMO, and would have given us a really decent physically-defensive Fairy) but it's got a great movepool for the role it was designed for.
14. Favorite Fighting-type? Terrakion. It's one of the small handful of Fighting types I kinda like, even though I've never actually used it. It's mostly because it's got a unique type combo, to be perfectly honest. :P
15. Favorite Poison-type? Really tough choice; Poison is a great type (especially thanks to the addition of Fairy) with a lot of unique designs, and is a close runner for favorite type overall for me. It's very close, but I think I'll go for Gengar, with Venusaur and Nidoking as runners-up.
16. Favorite Ground-type? Another I had a tought time deciding, since there's a good number I like, but I think I'll settle on Gastrodon for this, as it's not only a great pokemon, but my favorite of the Water/Ground types.
17. Favorite Flying-type? Togekiss, I think. It was a strong contender for favorite Normal type before it was retconned to Fairy, and there's a lot of other Flying types I like too, but I guess I just like things capable of parahax. XD
18. Favorite Psychic-type? Swoobat, hands down. I know there's far stronger, but you don't know how satisfying it is to get a Stored Power sweep, and Swoobat is the most capable of achieving it thanks to the Simple ability and pretty awesome Speed.
19. Favorite Bug-type? I dig a lot of the bugs out there, especially Gen 5 bugs, so the choice is really difficult. I think I'll have to go with one of the early ones though; Shuckle. Despite low HP it makes an insane staller, especially in a sand offensive team thanks to secondary Rock typing.
20. Favorite Rock-type? Cradily. Odd choice, but it's a great yet underrated pokemon. it's also my favorite fossil pokemon, closely followed by both of Gen 5s fossils.
21. Favorite Ghost-type? Mismagius. I really wanted to pick Gengar for this slot, but Misdreavus just barely edges him out thanks to the ability to use Power Gem, which can come as quite a surprise for a lot of things that would switch in on it.
22. Favorite Dragon-type? Probably Dragalge, assuming we aren't counting pokemon that are only Dragon type when they Mega-Evolve. Poison/Dragon is one of the type combos I was hoping to see when 6th gen hit, so it was kind of a surprise when it was revealed that this was what Skrelp evolved into. Now if only they'd release its Adaptability ability...
23. Favorite Dark-type? Scrafty probably. Dark is kind of low on the list of my favorite types, but Scrafty I think perfectly emcompasses what I'd imagine a Dark/Fighting type should be. And it's great defensively, so that's a bonus too.
24. Favorite Steel-type? Dialga. I mostly wanted to avoid putting members of legendary duos/trios here, but this one really stands out, as it's one of the best defensive type combos in to game, even after Steel got nerfed to be neutral to Ghost and Dark. Gotta say Probopass runs a close second, though.
25. Favorite Fairy-type? Granbull, hands down. Besides Azumarill it's got to be the best physically offensive Fairy out there. This is one of the retypings they absolutely got right when Fairy was added, I think, as I really think the game needed something Fairy that was physically powerful.
26. Mew or Mewtwo? Mew. He's more versatile, and can be used in something besides the Uber tier.
27. Ho-oh or Lugia? Lugia. Both of them have great potential but Lugia can survive Stealth Rocks more easily.
28. Kyogre or Groudon? Kyogre, only because I so strongly gravitate toward Sapphire compared to Ruby.
29. Dialga or Palkia? Dialga. Palkia's defensive typing is nice too, but Dialga's got a lot more resistances going for it.
30. Reshiram or Zekrom? Zekrom. It looks cooler, to be honest.
31. Xerneas or Yveltal? This is a lot closer as I like both, but Xerneas edges this one out I think.
32. Favorite Gym Leader? Really tough choice... I think I'm gonna have to go with Byron though.
33. Favorite Pokémon game? Gen 3. The secret bases were bomb as fuck, and I really hope they make it into the remakes.
34. Team of Pokémon only from gen 1? Gengar, Venusaur, Scyther, Marowak, Tentacruel, Arcanine
35. Team of Pokémon only from gen 2? Crobat, Tyranitar, Quagsire, Espeon, Houndoom, Dunsparce
36. Team of Pokémon only from gen 3? Sceptile, Milotic, Camerupt, Cradily, Exploud, Salamence
37. Team of Pokémon only from gen 4? Torterra, Probopass, Mismagius, Staraptor, Lucario, Drapion
38. Team of Pokémon only from gen 5? Swoobat, Volcarona, Excadrill, Vanilluxe, Alomomola, Cincinno
39. Team of Pokémon only from gen 6? Florges, Aegislash, Avalugg, Dragalge, Clawitzer, Goodra
40. Favorite Legendary Pokémon? Probably Dialga. I'm not a huge fan of Ubers, nor am I all that much of a fan of the legendaries that aren't Ubers, but Dialga has a hell of a lot of functionality from what I can tell.
41. Favorite mega evolution? Mega Sceptile. I'll admit that it having Lightningrod is offputting at first, but it makes sense once you analyze it. And I've been wanting a Grass/Dragon for a while now. If only it got Technician it'd probably be my absolute favorite just for having the strongest Dragon Breath in the land.
42. Favorite Pokémon from gen 1? Gotta go with Gengar for this one.
43. Favorite Pokémon from gen 2? Dunsparce. Absolutely Dunsparce.
44. Favorite Pokémon from gen 3? Sceptile.
45. Favorite Pokémon from gen 4? Friggin Mismagius with the Power Gem all up in yo face.
46. Favorite Pokémon from gen 5? They added so many good ones... I guess Volcarona.
47. Favorite Pokémon from gen 6? Avalugg. Not that there's a lot to choose from.
48. Favorite starter Pokémon from any generation? I think I gotta go with Torterra on this one.
49. Favorite Eeveelution? It's pretty close, but Espeon just barely beats out Leafeon here.
50. If you were a Pokémon, what would you be and why? Until there's a tanuki pokemon that isn't an unevolved badger, I'm gonna stick with Mismagius, since I think it's the closest thing I'm gonna get to a straight-up mage that I like.
