Question for Artists vs Commission
If I have overlooked a payment, comment, or email/note regarding a commission from you: Know that is NOT intentional. Please send a new note with the subject marked appropriately. Thank you.

Ive ordered art- large project pieces- containing Vixx and a no longer appropriate partner.
Due to some circumstances Im not willing to publicly disclose; I would beg to request a partial refund/cancellation, or one of my other female characters to fill in his place.
As an artist- how would you advise or appreciate a commissioner handling this situation? Should I try discussing options or should I just leave the subject alone and let them finish anyway.

I know a lot of artists get frustrated with these situations because there are people who change the commission every few weeks and its ridiculous to redraw stuff over and over - but i think if the work is still in the beginning stages its appropriate to ask for some changes
Note me if its my commission for you - id have no problem changing it :) <3
rough sketch phase (just blocking out a pose and checking in) - change whatever you like. even chars.
cleaned up sketch (we now know what char is who) - i'd charge a fee for a full char change or anything. but i'd still do it.
Inked- color- shading: request partial refund because now you're pushing it with asking for changes.
full refunds should only be requested is no work has been done at all. or is underneath the cleaned up sketch phase.
if you are working with anartist that does not check in wtth you or procide wips.
you might be fucked.
especially as htose are also generally the artists that take too long to reply back.
straight from my terms of service...
~Refunds will be given on my cancellation of a commission only. If you would like a refund for some reason, you may politely request one, stating why you would like a refund, in a note with the subject line "Refund-Commission." This does not guarantee that I will give you a refund, only that I'll consider it for special circumstances.
~If the Client wishes to cancel their commission during the sketch stage they will be refunded up to 50% of what they paid.
~If the Client wishes to cancel their commission during or after the coloring stage they will not be issued a refund.
~I will not change lineart on an approved sketch after I have begun coloring a picture. I will change coloration within reason if you are not satisfied with it. After the first three revisions to an otherwise completed piece, an additional charge will be placed on your order to compensate for time spent.
~I will not make any changes to a completed commission.
The "will not's," I would like to note are people who expect me to change things for free, I will make changes for an additional charge. :P
