Serious Work Concern and Adoptable Info

I say serious but at the end of the day, money isn't nearly as serious as other things could be... At any rate.
My heart just sunk into my stomach--got a text from a coworker that work (I serve/cook/bartend at a local german brewpub) is thinking about putting our tips toward the business itself and not the workers. That would mean a 60% + drop in my income at that job, and on top of it, I'm pretty sure that's illegal. Anyone know the laws regarding tips and minimum wage and whatnot in Wisconsin? I'm about to leave for a little while to go chat with my co-worker about what he heard. Maybe it's just a nasty rumor the brewer started spreading, but I don't know...
Regarding the egg adoptables--I'll be posting them once more tonight, and I'll leave them open for an hour before I let them go to thevultures rest of you guys. After an hour is passed, any remaining eggs will be open for purchase by anyone, regardless of previous adoptable purchases.
Cascade, the watery themed egg, will be put on auction. I don't know if I've made it too clear but I lovelovelove water (I have a water themed tattoo on my back) and I'm REALLY excited for this design, I want to make sure that the person who winds up with it cares enough to allow me to put a good amount of time into the design! I can hope x3

That's how our work operates now (we make $5 an hour when bartending or serving and if we don't make enough in tips to cover the extra 2.50 then they reimburse(sp?) us for the rest), but often times I make more than I made that day per hour in tips, so the only conceivable way I could see them taking our tips is by raising our wages. Which is still scary. It'd even out if it's a drastic change, like $10 an hour, but if it goes to something like $7.25, I'd be severely losing money.
Mind you, if anything is done about it, reprisals are sure to happen. So do not be surprised if they do that.
I don't expect them to try to do anything illegal, so I know if they stop allowing us to take our own tips, they'll raise our wages, but they still only have to pay us minimum wage. That's the scary part. If they wanted to be fair about it, they'd make our bartending and serving wages something like $10 (with no tips). But I doubt they're too worried about what's 'fair'.
Primarily this part - "The basic rule of tips, under federal and state law, is that they belong to the employee, not the employer. Employers may not require employees to hand over their tips unless one of these exceptions applies:"
