On my tablet sometimes I'd try to watch someone and it would watch, then instantly unwatch.

If they come back again at least you know it's nothing personal.

Notice that too on FA 6 months ago one my friends I thought unfollowed me but when I contacted him he told me I never even clicked unwatch. Must be a Furaffinity bug in a update.

It's probably related to the crackdown on watch whoring a few months ago. Lots of users experienced massive watches and un-watches because the "watchers" were actually sock puppet accounts in a big watch boosting syndicate thingy.
