I've had major facial surgery to correct my jaw. They had to peel a large amount of my face back too. My stay at the hospital was a nightmare and i seriously could not recover until i got out of there.

I don't know if head staples count as surgery but they if do then I had to have my head stapled when I fell backwards in the bathroom and landed on a hooked door stopper.

I've only been put under twice. Once to remove my wisdom teeth (those things were HUMONGOUS!) and once before that so the doctors could re-break my nose and the straighten it. (some kid at a swimming pool kicked me in the face and it broke my nose but the only opening the doctors had was a month afterword so I spent most of my summer with a crooked nose)

Eh, I had my appendix out a few tears back, seems the silly thing went and ruptured on Thanksgiving day.
The big lesson I learned from it? Morphine can cause some freakin' weird hallucinations,

i had a spinal fusion in 2001, on the day 'final fantasy, the spirtes within' came out, i was pissed, because i wanted to see it so badly.

i spent 6 full days in the hospital, and while there had to learn how to walk again with extra weight in my back.

i still have pain to this day, but without the surgery i would have suffocated to death.

Had a benign cyst removed from my spine under local anesthesia once. Doctor said it was just an excess bundle of nerve tissue growing off of my spine. You could see it as a small soft lump at the base of my neck right between the shoulders. Had it taken out because it had the odd effect of instantly causing me to pass out if you hit it. First time I noticed it was when I flopped down in a tall-backed chair hitting it and I passed right out flopping onto the floor. A few months later a friend was giving me a congratulatory pat on the back and hit it causing me to pass out and fall down the stairs we were walking down. The clincher was when I was sitting around the house with no shirt on one day and my mom poked at the lump asking what it was and I instantly flopped over on the floor out cold. Scared the living shit out her, poor Mom.

I've had several pairs of grommets put into my ears to help drain the inner ear; surgery to remove my appendix (then I had to have a plastic drain inserted for ten days, after which the wound had to heal by itself) and had three teeth removed (one of them surgically removed, which was the most terrifying experience of my life as I had to have it done under local due to the cost). Oh, I've also had an ERCP (look it up) done, as well as some CAT scans.

Oh, ingrown toenails are awful. Im having a hell of a time with the one I got...and its sorta comes and goes as it pleases apparently.

Had angioplasty and stents in '07, after having eighteen months of excruciating upper stomach pain misdiagnosed...

i had a stye removed from my eye as a kid and had my wisdom teeth taken out (partially impacted)

Got some stories: I'm almost immune to (weakened) Tetanus injection...I got soo many from it that i didn't even realize it anymore when i got another injection.

1. Dog bite. Chewedright in the center of my right hand. Got it opened and cleaned out. Was freaky to see your bones as they moving as i moved a finger - all yellow from blood, not ghostly white. Have the scar for it to the rest of my life about the size of the pinky finger's nail. Also got Tetanus injection.

2. Stepped into rusty nail. It didn1t hurt though: I stepped into nails all my life, this one was special because it was rusty. Again: Got it opened and cleaned out. Got a pain killing injection to the center of my feat...wasn't funny at all. Also got Tetanus injection.

3. Rust dirt removed from eyeball with surgical needles. At first i was scared like hell. Needles gonna penetrate my eyeball?? No biggie anymore. Didn't felt a thing. The eyeball isn't all that sensitive, and it was like just touching them, I got better no vision loss or anything. :D

I was molested by a neighbor when I was around 10 and got a twisted vesicle in my right testicle. So I had to have surgery to have it untwisted. Luckily my testicles are alright Needless to say I don't know that neighbor anymore.
