You're art is coming along nicely. I can see that you are slowly improving. Keep drawing and trying new things. You are just starting out drawing. These things take time for people to start watching. When I started I barely got any response. Don't give up on it.

I really don't have anything to add; I just worry you'll take someone's comment too close to heart and your art will lose its distinctness

My style will change eventually as I keep practicing. I won't make big mistakes, and I'll have better anatomy, ect. Who knows how it'll end up.

There is much to improve big bro, but so far, I'm liking what I'm seeing. For instance, even though your anatomy can sometimes be slightly off here and there, it seems you have a natural understanding of bodily proportions. I'm strapped for time at the moment, but when I'm able to think things out better, I'll let you know some good stuff. :)

I don't mind the subject matter, though there are always things that can be done about that. If you'd like to stay close to the subjects you've already drawn, you could draw Max with a body similar to (or bigger than) Sam's. Further out, I'd look at species that haven't been done too thoroughly: when you think of the body type you've been doing, you usually associate that with pachyderms, bears, perhaps some of the larger cats, and other more dominant animals. Fat mice and squirrels, perhaps handsome, soft-bodied insects, deer and gazelles, those sort of things aren't done as often. I'd explore different motivations for your characters, too; bring characters to life by giving them things to care about and unique ways to react. Try different takes on the body type you like--perhaps a firmer, more spherical musclegut that resists gravity more or a belly full of various fluids, or a vore-belly or mpreg. Tell a story with your art, and add more intrigue to your work. I'd especially like to see how you handle two or more people interacting in your art.

As far as art style and ability, I haven't yet commented because you seemed to be just starting and learning your style. It's a bit difficult to judge a piece of art if the artist hasn't yet found their voice. So far, your art seems a bit simplistic and flat. Focus on adding more detail and try more complex ideas. Work on fleshing out the third dimension. Another thing I've noticed is that you have very simple lines. You might even benefit from devolving a bit: instead of solid, thin, clear lines, experiment multiple light, sketchy lines that mimic brushstrokes or bolder lines of differing weight.

You're the first person to give me a straight answer, and you have no idea how much I appreciate it. You've given me a lot to think about. I have been simple with pretty much everything I've done so far, if not actually everything. I don't have a tablet like most artists, but just a 2ds that has a 3 inch screen. The art program I have on it though let me change the canvas, but the zoom in/out feature only zooms so much. It's a bit of an inconvenience, but it's better than Colors 3D which won't let me change the size of the canvas to whatever I want. I do all the sketching on that, and I import that onto Gimp, and I ink it in there. That explains why it's so simple and flat, along with that I'm still struggling on shading more than anything.
