And what I did for mine was take an old shirt and cut it into the shape that I wanted the neck piece. It's hard to explain without being there. :/

So like if i take the collar of a shirt cut it to the right shape, and than cover that with fur?

That's what I did. I had about 4 pieces total, sewed them together (like how the collar of a shirt would be) tried it on to make sure it fit around my neck and was about the same width of base of the head, and then sewed the collar to the fabric of the head to get it to stay.
