Sorry to hear about you and Stellary but I'm glad you aren't too upset about it! Change is good, I guess! But didn't you guys live together?
You could always create an alt account with a name that better fits you, and kinda make a gradual transition?

We still live together. For now. Hhh.

We'll be officially split off at the end of July, because she's moving to California. I'm staying here.

And I guess I could do that too. I just hate to be -that account jumper- or whatever, you know? @_@ It gets me sad in my heartspace

I have been sailing a lone ship for pretty much my life, but it ain't the end of the world. Hope things go well with you, and if you do switch accounts, I shall watch there also.

I have a terrible habit of easily getting into relationships and not easily getting out of them, even if they've run their course. I don't even try. Relationships aren't even that important to me but ugh I just LOVE so many people.

And I'll post things if I do intend to make a switch

Account jumping can be pretty tough for artists. You might get a few of your more active followers, but you would definitely be starting over again. Might be even worse since you have done it before already :p
I guess if you do decide to make the jump, maybe save some submissions to post on your new account, and maybe pick up some fresh watchers that like your most current style and what not :3

Exactly. I am pretty sure I've only done it once on FA(maybe twice), but I mean I also... joined FA in 2007 and I never account hop to escape anything. But like you said, it might be good to have some submissions saved up first if I want to start over.

I had considered making a new account since I made a real character years ago and have since pretty much abandoned the Crux one. I really didn't have any watchers at the time either, so it would have been pretty easy too. I guess I have just accepted it as my FA name and leave it at that, and people call me whatever they want :p

Yeah, I get what you mean about jumping accounts.
It'd be awesome if we could simply just change our usernames or something here.
Though once you have a name it's almost stuck with ya.
As much as I've love to change my real life nickname, well, that's impossible.
At least it's a little more possible on here, but, not quite so easy.

Oh I'll definitely give a notice if I do end up doing it. Thing is, no one really calls me Sethie except people who are specifically referring to my account for things like gifts/trades/commissions, so it just sort of sticks around like a name that's not mine but is mine. I've thankfully lost my old nickname for the most part(I made it up in 7th grade with a strong hint of weeaboo flavoring), but you know.

Deca has become my moniker online for the most part, and it's more my speed. I just wouldn't know how to incorporate it here, since it was from DecathectedCrescendo and I don't care much for long usernames either XD

It's a mix of not wanting to start over and not knowing what I'd want for a username that's stopping me.

Only way that I got people to stop calling me Eme or Emeto and instead call me Alex or Weenie is pretty much basic repetition. Start referring to yourself as that name and more than likely the people tend to switch to it. Since I respond better to said names than to my actual username at times. But that's my only thought on the matter if you want to keep this account but still have people call you Deca instead.
