I'll toss out the standard, reboot the phone, tweak the sensitivity of the pen (Should be guides online), Make sure some update didn't just turn off the detect s-pen option, and other such nonsense that comes through my own experiences and a quick bit of google-fu.

I dont know about the sensitivy, it was working and suddenly, boom, nothing, and rebooting it on and off didn't do much. There was no update, no nothing. I did google for some help, and got nothing other than messing with the sensitivity or buying a new one.

Figured as much, probably the magnet lost it's charge or something if it isn't the sensitivity issue everyone blames.

If it still detects removing the pen all I have left to suggest is the standard hit it with something, or in this case given it's a stylus against something. Well or run it through one of those things that make screwdrivers magnetic, but those both are pretty last resort things, and the latter probably a bad idea to try on your working phone after you do it if it overcharges the magnet.

It sometimes detects, for a second or two, then dies. I did hear about the hitting thing, and I don't think it works at all... or if it broke it further. lol. I don't know where to find one of those magnetic charging things around here. But thanks anyway.

No idea then on the pen, as for the magnet charge thing maybe if you're lucky a hardware store, it's just two magnets pressed together with a hole between for the screwdriver to go through. Looking at the price of replacement S pens, said item probably costs more anyway so never-mind that.
