Fucking Steam...

What can I say ? Steam is really a pain in the ass, I bought like 10 euros in PaySafe Card so I can add funds to my steam wallet. Guess what, Steam has taken 10 euros from my PaySafe Card but I received no money in my wallet, really nice right ? They have a horrible support team, absolutely spicy prices and they are total money whores since they implemented this trading cards thing. Valve, you disappointed me very much...
That's steam (and gaben) for ya.
Also Valve doesn't really make much money off of trading cards. The players do. That's why there is a community market.
Valve has to earn money in some way. They're the 4th most bandwidth consuming company. Takes lots o' money to keep that service running.
I understand your anger on loosing your money. I wouldn't be too happy either, but It's not like Valve purposely did that otherwise Steam would be dead.
Doing transactions like they do can go wrong in several ways depending on many variables out of Steam's control.
I don't know, it just seems like you lost your cool and started blaming Steam for things that's not really true or out of It's control.
Like I said they have to earn money some way. They're the 4th most bandwidth consuming company. Bandwidth isn't cheap these days. Plus they have to pay to keep services running, developers, funds for their projects, food, basic bills etc.
Running a company isn't cheap at all. And Valve is being a really good company by offering tons of services like Steam for no charge.
Taxes on trading cards is necessary. The tax system helps prevent abuse because the market is simulating an economy. And Valve doesn't even earn much per sale because each trading card sales for extremely cheap.
I don't think the tax system is a reason to be angry because It's perfectly reasonable if you know about how to run an economy.
I can only understand your anger with not receiving your money. This error of not your receiving your money is actually quite rare and doesn't happen too often. Like I said, even some things are out of Valve's control sometimes. If you keep just contacting Steam support I'm sure they will help you based on reports of other people on the forums loosing their money and eventually getting it back.
Like I said, It's not Steam's fault for the price of the games. Many games that are multiplatform that get released on Steam retail for that price. Valve lets the developer set the price so your argument doesn't stay solid in that part. Origin can't be compared because Origin contains games exclusively from EA unlike Steam which allows professional and indie developers alike to get their game on a popular platform. Most games that are on Origin and Steam retail for the same price anyway unless there's a sale. Also, Steam has far more sales than the majority of platforms around. Many games you can get cheaper
Other platforms like Kinguin can't be compared because they don't actually hold and store the games like Steam does. They simply receive keys for the game and sell it at a cheaper price. Not the game itself. They use different methods for earning money that simply can't be compared to Steam.
Don't put blame on Steam for something far out of their control. Steam offers so much for the users and developers alike that it makes it a great platform for them both. That's why Steam has 26K+ titles and is still growing to this day.
I understand you're having errors and such with Steam, but that is not the normal case with Steam. There is most likely some kind of other variable involved with your issues if I haven't had a single problem in over 4-5 years on Steam.
