Post office, why you close early on Saturday?

My local PO is open on saturdays.... I thought normal hours, but they closed at noon.
OOPS. Roomie worked at 2 and I was gonna go drop off a box at the same time since it's right around the corner. GUESS IT'S GOING OUT TOMORROW >_>'
WHICH leads me to let everyone know I'm going to try to make mondays my shipping day for everything~

Ours is open from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m....I'd like it if it were open until noon. o.o
