I dont think they are being total control freaks, more like a parental freak out when it comes to raising a kid.

As a parent myself, i totally understand why they are doing it but are tsking it too far with it because its scares them, especially the mother who, in her own mind sees that her little boy and be forever he little boy but Connor is growing up and doing things he used to not do and she doesnt know what to do, so shes doing the next motherly thing she can do and take things away that she is thinks "hurting" her child out of being protective.

Im sure the dad knows what Connor is doing but i think is more his mother doing this stuff and the father is going along with it because hes not sure what to do either with the fetishism stuff

They just need to learn that this is natural. Simple. I really think they should talk to select members of these communities...as it is not like this can ruin his chances at being successful.
