I never really 'hunted' them or looked for them. Al the ones I got myself were just luck and random.
But shiny CHARIZARD
I wanted that for like, FOREVER
So I was no-life-ish enough to want to soft-reset for it.
And no masuda method because I wanted/needed it on my firered/leafgreen
Since I'm not a hardcore shinyhunterperson I don't soft reset for it hardcore, like some people do
I just did it sometimes in the evening while watching tv, so yeah.
It kinda took me really, really, really, really, really, really, SERIOUSLY REALLY F*CKING LONG to get.
And I'm sure I went OVER the odds of encountering one while doing this. And since I started this 'hunt' I've encountered 4 random shinies in other games D:

I didn't masuda method because you can't do that in the 3rdgen games, and I wanted it as a starterrr D:
