Project Rose, a Phoenix Arizona based program, is targeting 'Sex Workers' and those PERCEIVED to be 'Sex Workers', by arresting them to 'Save' them. The Arizona Police are paid BY Project Rose to pick up those they 'Suspect' of being Prostitutes, but instead of bringing them to jail; they bring them to a windowless basement at the Bethany Bible Church, IN Handcuffs, and without formal charges. "There, the sex workers were forced to meet with prosecutors, detectives, and representatives of Project ROSE, who offer a diversion program to those who qualified. Those who did not, may face months or years in jail. In the Bethany Bible Church, those arrested were not allowed to speak to lawyers. Despite the handcuffs, they were not officially “arrested” at all."

While defenders of the program claim that there is absolutely NO religious intent; and the church meerly serves as a location, they are funded by christian charities, use words like "Save", run 'Reparative Programs', and their attitudes are malevolently Victorian in nature.

Monica Jones is a Transgender Individual who was targeted by Project Rose for speaking out against it. She was arrested for "Manifesting Prostitution", a statue in the Phoenix Municipal Code that takes everything from- Starting conversations with Passerby's, to asking if someone is an undercover cop, as proof you are 'selling sex'. Something that has, in several cases, arrested individuals who were just out buying groceries.

Monica Jones has spoken out against the program, and has even come to blows with the director of the program, and was targeted when offered a ride home from her favorite bar. She was lured by an undercover cop, handcuffed, threatened, called "Him" and "It", and taken to the Bethany Bible Churches windowless basement, in handcuffs and without charge. When she was brought before the very same director whom she had come to blows with, she was in handcuffs, looked down upon and forced to watch as the Director got her retribution for (Monica Jones) speaking out against the program.

She was told she didnt qualify for the program and that she would be serving jail time, instead. She now faces trial for little more than speaking out against the program...and warning a prostitution website of the stings.

To organizations like these, those who do NOT agree to enter the program, are dismissed as 'Unrepentant Whores'. Arizona has one of the most notorious prison complex's. A literal tent city, under the sun, where the shoes of inmates melt on a daily basis. One 'sex worker', Marcia Powell, was serving two years for a $20 blowjob. She was left in an open cage out in the sun for 4 hours. Guards ignored her cries for water. Her organs failed due to exposure, and when the guards found her, she was covered in burns. No guard was ever charged with her death.

Targets of this program include: Blacks, Hispanics, Transgender and the Poor. They are denied the right to Representation, due process and a Fair Trial.
