Themed Auctions question
Since I myself am a bit out of ideas I decided to ask you, my watchers, on what to concentrate next. The first bath of auctions I did had no specific theme in mind, but I decided to change that and as such the second one was planned to be single character shower/bath oriented. I had a few more sketches prepared for it, however I do not think it is that diverse as a theme.
As such I pose my question: What theme would you like to see for the next batch of auctions? The theme will dictate the poses for the available slots!
For an example:
Sci-fi and fantasy both give the option for more dynamic poses, while a sports theme will have more standard poses for the specific sport. Moods are also welcome, of course.
A second question came to mind as well while I write: Since I am still a new artist in the field of auctioning and commissioning, I would like to ask if you, my viewers and possible commissioners, would also like to see backgrounds added to the auctions (a possibility of a background, of course. The winner of the auction will have the final word on the theme/background/mood for the auction he won) which will however also rise the buyout price of the auction from 30$ to 50$ (inked and with flats).
I am eagerly waiting for any suggestions and comments alike ^^ Thank you in advance!

For the theme, more than one can be able to please I think. In fact, I see a large amont of popular themes than can bring some commissionners to buy and bid ^^
Here is my three favorites ideas so far, I have try to go for large subjects since you want one for a batch!
Profession : So auction based on possible characters professionnal road. Some of the generic popular one like Police Officier - Firefighter - Mechanician - Musician - Nurse - Lifeguard - Gym Teacher - Buisnessman -Waiter/Butler. You can make it out like true career themed pic or more like cosplay thing (Sexy or not). However, the little complication with this one is that some "role" will be probably less popular than the others and than each profession restrict to a certain amont of people.
Dynasty : Why not a little theme about our Monarch and other of their similar brothers from noblety until the deep ground of their servants? As you can guess, this can kinda involve some medieval background like the king or queen in his castle, or the noble sitting at the long table with his dear butler at his side. Master/Slave pics and naughty stuff come in minds easely just as clean or simply mature one. Even the caughted prisoner of the King of the bard of the queen are possible subject in this one!
Medieval : Can't like, possibly my favorite so far, but anything that touch medieval themed pics is a major yes for me. The knight, the rogue, the priest, the king, the queen, the prince, the brutal leather and axe warrior and his sorcerer companion. Their is a large amont of possibilities just has for solo just has many characters pieces! Pose can pass from sexy doodles to action scene quite easy without letting the theme behind! Quite already see on FA tough, but still a great winner so far.
Foir the background question, my anwser is yes, a background do is really fun. hpowever, in a view of trying it out and see it true popularity toward your bidders, you should try to put the background only for some of your YCH batch (Like on 2 pics of 5 count example) or just letting a "Buyout : $30 without background - $50 for buyout with the background" option, letting then the bidder you choose the buyout option decide if he would go for a lesser buyout without background or a higher buyout with the wanted background.
I like all the suggestions you have named and some ideas came to mind especially for the profession theme, however I am not sure about your last proposal. Not about the background in general, but about how it will be decided. Let me elaborate:
In my opinion for a theme to shine at its best its vital to have the background in there in the sketch itself, as such you have already put work into it (maybe even a hour or two of work) to make it just right. I might have misunderstood you here, and if so please correct me, but if someone buys out the auction for 30$ and decides he does not wish the background to be added, then the time given for the background is wasted. So here I might have misunderstood you: Does the first person who makes the buyout decide on the background, or can someone always outbid him with the second buyout which is at 50$?
Then go for the other suggestion to see how popular will get the backgrounded YCH by doing it only on one up to three. Then you will be able to guess if the time put to work on/final price final range worth it for futher ych rounds ^^
And I'm glad that my suggested themes had please you at large! ^^
