Badges or other minor Furry-wear in public? Reactions?
Question for people which I'll pose at the end of this, but first the background.
Sometimes when I'm out and about, I'll wear a couple of my badges that I've had made up. Same one's I've posted here - from previous cons.
So the other day, I was out at the local Costco, just grabbing a couple of things (plan was just to nom on a hotdog and sundae and head home, but it never works out like that - ended up buying some stuff while I was there).
I've got all my stuff and I'm just buying an ice cream sundae for dessert. I head over to pick up a spoon and napkins - at the same time this girl comes up to me and says 'I like your fursona' I just smiled said thanks and showed her the other badge which had flipped backwards. A brief exchange, and she was gone.
It got me to wondering... How many others did I happen to walk by the same day who might have been furries, but silent.
I've normally gotten smiles and looks of intrigue in the past, but never an outright - 'I like your Fursona' type of comment.
Leads me to my question: I wonder how many people out there wear, what I would call, mainstream/public furrywear?
eg: T-shirts with a Wolf warrior, pendant with a paw on it, furry/character badges, other .... I'm not talking suits/tails/ears/.... or other blatantly obvious stuff.
Myself - sometime if I'm out on errands or a movie night, I'll throw on a badge. I also do have a couple t-shirts with Anthro characters on it.
I'm curious what others have experienced for reactions if you do wear anything.
PS: I did see once while driving in town, someone - just all by themselves in a residential area walk by with a tail. :)

I had a hint but didn't confirm it with her till 2-3 months ago. I had a few of them at the Art Institute of Vancouver. Tail wearing was the biggest.
Still had my tail on. This one group of women - mid 20's - were giggling and point. I just smiled. When they left the train one commented that they really liked my tail.
Not quite sure if they were kidding or not, but it didn't matter to me. Just grinned and said thanks. Ya, it's a crappy tail, personally made in a couple hours by someone who can't sew - but what the hell.
Then as I'm going up to the security line in the airport, I think - "Oh crap, I better take the tail off before I walk through" There's a couple coins weighing down one end which I'm sure would set off the security bells. LOL I promptly put in with my belt into one of those bins for the x-ray machine, walked through, picked everything up and put it back on.
