This past year has been strange and, I'll be perfectly honest: mostly awful. But the past two months have been good, great even, so I suppose I'll celebrate those today. Oh that, and the whole "getting older" thing.

I'm actually not properly celebrating until tomorrow, so most of today consisted of generally relaxing and looking at my writing. The upside of that is that I've made good progress on my Big Mystery Project (capitalization equals hype, according to my marketing team). The downside is that I took another look at day 2 of Hard To Get... and realized the second half kind of blew chunks. So I spent most of today rewriting it, and it came out quite a bit longer than the original. So long, in fact, that it's still not done even as I'm writing this. So I'm switching my schedule for today and tomorrow around: today will be my day off without a submission, and tomorrow will be Hard To Get. Hopefully Thursday will be the reveal of the Big Mystery Project (did I mention my marketing team are big fans of JJ Abrams?) but if not then I'll put up something else. That puppy ain't going up until she's all good and ready.
