If you had permission to make this suit by the makers & Lemonade's family & friends, then thats okay. Going to make it anyways without permission? Not cool. Leaving behind a trail of evidence pointing to not caring about it? Fucking hell no.

I dont know if you're saying you feel guilty because youre actually guilty, or just trying to make us forgive you. Whatever is the case, its frowned upon to recreate someone's character fursuit without ANY permission.

ITS NOT HIS CHARACTER, "ya'll" need to realize you can't fucking take what you want, and its not about the character it's about who owns it AND PART of that suit is owned by madefuryou, copy writes also go to them. He had the time when he was making the suit to realize this and ask people, if he really cared he would of done it another way. Also evidence coming out from his roommates and friends say, he did this to troll and for attention.

as someone who KNEW tim, i know for a fact he'd love the message. but i also know that the MAKERS, have no say in what happens to it, since they were simply COMMISSIONED, and they do not own said character. MadeFurYou can shove it up their asses, they don't own jack shit except the ORIGINAL characters they have made they don't go to anyone else.

Either way no one had a choice but him the best thing to would of been nothing.

If you must know, it did belong to Tim's loving parents by due process (Aka them gathering his earthly belongings upon his unfortunate departure). However they bestowed ownership of the original fursuit known as Lemonade Coyote to Tim's former roommate , and Tim's other suit Nuke Fox has been given to one of his very best and dearest friends / .

i can imagine that split second where his friends saw you dressed as him, and in that moment everything was alright, as if he was back and live and didnt die...
then all of it crashing down horribly in realization that he was in fact an impostor and never coming back. i feel for the friends and family.

I'm not going be a broken record and repeat what everyone else has said or be harsh. But I hope you now understand how and why what was done was wrong. Lemonade was a very very close, dearly loved friend of mine and though your intentions may have been good, there should only be one Lemonade suit. I hope you contact his partner, and his friends and apologize for what has been done. I will forgive you, because I know it is what lemonade would want and I'm sure you have learned your lesson to ask permission before doing something.

Magnus did not know Tim, and took his character without not only asking, but realizing what it might do to the people who knew Tim more then just as "Lemonade".

I am so sorry his friends and loved ones had to bare witness to this. I could understand if maybe....maybe he knew him and did it as a way to keep his memory alive, but when you're a person who doesn't know Lemonade or any of his friends its just wrong. Attention seeking at its worst.

I do believe madefuryou owns it now technically because their contract was made just for lemonaide and I do believe they made the character so he stoal it from madefuryou I guess. But yeah major shame xD

I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but I think that what you did was a nice thing. Of course it was interpreted differently by a lot of other furs, with good reason. You should probably have asked for permission from friends and family before making it, but what's happened has happened. I hope you learn from this, and in time, people will forget.

I never spoke to or knew the deceased, but I found this in incredibly poor taste. If my father had passed away and someone who was never close to him walked around pretending to be him I would be mortified. I'm glad you at least realized that it was a terrible idea, but you have to keep in mind that plagiarizing someone's character, a fursuit maker's creation without permission, confusing people at a convention into possibly thinking that he is still indeed alive, and causing an uproar apparently as big as a shooting scare, isn't worth walking around dressed up as someone who's dead.

It's amazing the ignorance of the law I see here... if Tim died without a will, technically his estate would go to his parents first, and then they would decide who it would go to after. It would seem that most of the estate went to his partner. Friends would not be the legally appropriate place to ask permission from, it would be the executor of the estate. This is assuming that Indiana's laws are equivalent to NY's.

Me, however, I thought it to be a nice tribute to the character. What may have been questionable was the time and place, especially with the shit that started pre-con.

But still he wouldn't want his character to be recreated, he would want it to just lay in peace just like him to not upset people like it has now. This brings tears to people because they wish it was him in the suit and only makes everything worse.

I think you guys are all beating a dead horse, and some are missing the point. He's said what he did was wrong, he's admitted it, and taken responsibility for it, and even posted it publicly. I respect public apologies, and while he should still apologize to the closest friends and family (if not already), all you can do after a mistake is move on. No sense in getting this worked up over it.

I am a bit late on this but I just wanted to say that I understand what you were going for, even though you didn't a "peep" from when you mentioned making the item, you still needed to think about all of the outcomes that could be adverse to your said "message". Tim (although I did not know him) was a hero from what I have read, I think he should be left to rest and y'know every expresses greif and memorium in different ways. To close this I just want to say that you should have gotten the proper permissions to do what you did.
