The Fireworks of Anthrocon
Though originally the winds were not blowing towards Anthrocon, somehow I had managed to make an appearance and experience the convention that my brother attended before. I must say - I resented the idea of flying on other humans' transportation, but the trip itself was smooth and straight. I shall look forward to similar experiences in future flights.
As it was my first time at the convention, I was pleased to be quite well-received, even by the young scoundrels that ran circles around me. However, no one had warned me of the painstaking walks I would endure - an old dragon with aches such as mine cannot stand such journeys anymore. But nonetheless, I managed to traverse the convention with the help of painkillers known as "sake".
I was approached before the convention by the Director of Programming to partake in the new performance show, Anthrocon Tonight. One that all of you should have been at, for the stellar music numbers and performances, but unfortunately it ran parallel to the fireworks on the rooftop, dwindling attendance numbers. However, due to popular demand I forced my aching back to do an encore performance at the Masquerade on Saturday night. For those that witnessed it, I hope my form was acceptable. My feet and back have been aching me the entire convention, as always.
A heartfelt thank-you to all those who stopped and gave compliments to me and/or my performances. It helps warm an old dragon to know that he is not entirely senile and rickety - perhaps, for now. Many photos were taken and I eagerly await to see their product.
...my next convention shall be Midwest Fur Fest, which takes place on December 4-7th in the frosty lands of Rosemont, Illinois. I may not be making many appearances until such a time - but until then, the storm bides its time to strike once more...
...for I shall be joined by my other half.
Thunder rolls...
